We are deeply saddened to tell you that Joan Lynch passed away on February 28th. Joan was a tireless Rotarian who joined our club in 1992 (over 29 years ago.) She was one of the first women to join Shakopee Rotary and until her death was one of the longest serving members of our club. She spent over 40 years volunteering especially with the school district for which she was inducted into the Shakopee School District "Hall of Fame" in 2014. Joan worked 20 years for the CAP Agency helping local communities and individuals in Scott, Carver and Dakota with social services and supporting those in need. Some of Joan’s Rotary volunteering included STRIVE (a scholarship program for Shakopee High School 12th grade students), Loaves and Fishes, Shakopee Celebrates Reading Program for 1st graders, and Bridging along with constant support of all the Rotary fundraising activities through the years.
