Hi All,Image

Winter is here!  Yippie!  Yup, I'm one of those people that like the cold and snow.  I was sorry to miss this week's meeting, but understand that Chris had no trouble filling my shoes.  Thanks so much to Laura Pecaut from Shakopee Main Street for delivering a very informative program. I'm excited about the momentum to promote and engage with our downtown.

Thanks to everyone that participated in the membership event at Stonebrooke last evening.  We had a nice group of Rotarians and quite a few new member prospects attend.  BIG Thanks to Deb Erickson, Barb Danielson and the membership committee for all their hard work in planning the event.  Special thanks to Lee Hennen, Barb Brekke and John Crooks for sharing their personal Rotary stories.  I encourage you to warmly welcome these new prospects and all visitors to our club meetings.

Next week we welcome Mike McMahan, President of St. Francis Regional Medical Center as our speaker on the topic "Health Care Reform: How Hospitals are dealing with the Change".  Libby Bergen is sure to get us warbling in tune as song master, and John Crooks walks into a bar... no wait, he will finish that sentence as fine master.  New faces at the greeters table are John Crooks, Barb Danielson and Dave Eckart.

Rotary Happy Hour starts on January 8 at Arnie's Bar.  This is purely a social time for us to patronize the sites that sell our pull-tabs.  These will be held the first Thursday of each month.  Watch for time & locations.
