Dear Shakopee Rotary Club Members and Friends,
Happy Rainy Monday Morning,
I am a bit late on the weekly message. As you know I was in Washington DC during the week (no Pope sightings) and arrived back home Friday at 12:30 AM. Then at 8:00 AM I had the privilege to attend the Rotary District 5950 Fall Training at the Arboretum. It was great to have Tammy Laurent and Barb Danielson attend the training also. What a fun meeting. We had a "speed dating" style session that allowed us to learn about 14 different programs that are taking place in our District. I will be bring that information to a future meeting. Late morning break-out sessions were held on 3 issues; membership, fund raising and social media.
Our meeting tomorrow will be held at Rahr Malting. A tour of their facilities and an opportunity to learn about the expansion plans taking place with the Company. I know we are excited about touring such a unique company that has been located in Shakopee for well over 100 years. Our host for the day will be Willie Rahr.
With that being said, we will not have a Song Master, Fine Master or Sgt at Arms for tomorrow's meeting. As always, please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
Enjoy Your Day,
John
