Good Monday Morning,

The sun is shining, we had an extra hour of sleep and life is good. There is lots happening in our community and Rotary is right in the middle of all it. Last week our Club donated well over 1000 diapers to SCA. At our last meeting, we raised hundreds of dollars for our general fund and in about  2 weeks on Thursday, November 17,  we have our 60th Anniversary Celebration at Canterbury. Please send in your RSVP's to attend this important event. you will be guaranteed to have a wonderful time.

We have Citywide elections being held tomorrow. Elections are for Mayor, City Council and the School Board. Our Club stays apolitical, but I encourage everyone to have their voice heard and head to the polls. Its greats great to have our Club participate in Kid's Voting as it has for many years . The Utilities has also participated for many years. It is wonderful to hear parents explain to their children the importance of being part of the process. It is also fantastic to watch an immigrant family talk about the election process with their young children and take photos of them voting.

Thanks to Jim and Lee for their outstanding work with this Fall's auction. I think they were able to get almost every Club member to bid on an item. Lots of laughs, smiles and good times. Think about stepping up the auction that we have in the Spring; bigger and better items are always a plus.

This week, our presenter will be Bill Von Bank. Bill was recently named the Executive Director of RiverSouth, a marketing strategy to make our area of the metro, a destination for 'tons of fun". With ValleyFair, Canterbury, the Renaissance Festival, Mystic Lake, fantastic Golf Courses and great shopping, why would anyone not want to visit. Bill is going to tell us even more...

For the Meeting:
Our Song Master is Ron Smith
Our Fine Master is Doug Scheif
Our greeters table will be manned by Barb Danielson and Dr. Dave Eckart

Thanks to every member for all they contribute to our Club. Without us working together it would be so difficult to accomplish all the positive opportunities this Club offers to our community. As always, please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Have a Terrific Day,
John
