Happy Sunday to all!

Last week we had Robb Hiller from the Eden Prairie Club and an author speak to us about how his dog "Bentley" inspired him to develop leadership techniques which he gave us during his presentation. We also had a chance to hear from our exchange student Valerie Huber of Switzerland regarding what she has been doing at the high school lately. She announced she got a leading role in the play, "The Crucible" this spring.  She seems so excited about her theater work and her experience here in Shakopee. It was
good to see her. I hope many of you will sign up to join us on Friday, April 25 7PM to see Valerie perform in the play. See me if you are interested. Tickets are $6 per person.

This week we will hearing from Britta Schnell McGuire about the "Good Egg Project" having to do with agriculture, eggs and how they are helping people in need. Should be interesting,  and I look forward to having Lorri Helkamp introduce her to us. This week we will be greeted by members of the "3H Club."  That is, Helkamp, Helkamp and Hoehn will be there to take your money and smile a welcome smile. We will not have a Songmaster this week due to time limitations. Our Finemaster this week is none other than Mr. bar joke humor himself, John Crooks.  We are also excited to have our new member induction this week of Eric Westlund! He works for American Family Insurance in Shakopee. Please be sure to welcome him and make him feel part of the Rotary family. Also, Lee Hennen will introduce Fran Heitzman this week. Fran is the founder of Bridging and is incredibly passionate about his work and his organization. If you haven't heard him speak, he can bring tears to your eyes. So, please welcome him as Lee gets us ready for our upcoming Bridging work on Saturday, April 26.

A very big thanks to all the members who came out this weekend for the book sale sorting. More sorting yet today from noon to 4 and again tomorrow night, (Monday) 7-9 PM.  If you have books to drop off please bring them to the store location during these hours or bring them to the meeting Tuesday.

DON'T FORGET TO BRING PLASTIC JELLY JARS.  Linda Plum is helping to coordinate our collection of jelly jars for the district service project to help youth.  We will be collecting all month.

Have a great day and see you Tuesday!
