President's Weekly Message for Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Dangerfield's

Good afternoon to all!

I am writing from my daughter's apt. in Chicago and on a laptop so excuse any errors I might make today in the message! Snowy and cold here just like Minnesota. Can't wait till winter ends!

Last week Mayor Tabke came and gave us an update on the city and we received a lot of good iformation. Also, people had a chance to ask questions so we had a lot of good dialogue at the meeting. We were also happy to welcome some potential new members and they felt they received a warm welcome from our club. I have followed up and I expect Pann No and Eric Westlund will be back for more meetings, so be sure and continue to show give them a warm reception and help them learn more about our club.

This week we are excited to have our own Dave Paradise speaking to us about Financial and Identity theft and defensive measures. This is particularly relevant given the recent Target breach. Please be sure and come out and hear what Dave has to say.
Our greeters again this week are Barb Danielson and John Crooks. Our Finemaster is Doug Schleif and we have no Songmaster at this point. Maybe someone will volunteer?

REMINDERS:  Barb Brekke is still looking for volunteers for Simpson House this Thursday the 6th at 5-7 AM shift for making breakfast.
