Happy Spring Shakopee Rotary!

Thank you to everyone who attended our annual book sale kick-off event this past Thursday!  It was a lot of fun, and thus far, the entire book sale has been a great success!  (Hopefully we’ll have a tallied update to give the group tomorrow).  THANK YOU to all members who have helped with the book sale this year…Many Hands Make Light Work! 

This week for our program, we welcome Kelly Thomas from the Make a Wish Foundation of Minnesota.  Welcome Kelly!

 

BOOK SALE UPDATE:  We had a very successful first weekend, and are looking forward to a strong 2nd weekend this upcoming Saturday.  There is still a need for workers to cover a couple 2-hour shifts this Saturday.  If you are available, please see Mike Schinnick. 

**Please Continue to help spread the word of our sale via word of mouth, or email.  The committee has emailed out flier to the club members….please use those in our effort to have a great fundraiser this year!!!

2011 District Conference:  Reminder, the 2011 District Conference will be held on April 15th - 17th up in Alexandria, MN at the Arrowwood Resort & Conference Center. 

Loaves and Fishes:  Thank you to everyone who participated in the Loaves and Fishes event last Tuesday!  It was a lot of fun, the food was excellent, and the dish washing skills in the club are second to none!  A big thank you to Barb Brekke for arranging this opportunity for our club!  Thank you Barb!

9.  June 23rd:  President Exit Meeting (Dangerfields)

 

10.  June 30th:  District Governor Installation Program (Canterbury Inn)
