Hi All,

I was impressed by Abul Sharah's "Update on International Village Clinic" presentation.  The video really brings to life the good work being done in India.  ImageMakes me proud that our club has contributed to this worthwhile project.

I'm a bit bummed out by the fact that you had to put up with me as both song master and fine master.  If you don't want me to step in with my terrible songs and fines, then please keep an eye on your calendars or this email for whose responsible for what.  That being said, I was very impressed by how many people knew the words to the "Hearse" song - even Chris taught me a new verse.  My kids loved it - which is why it's burned into my memory.

Next Tuesday Lorri Helkamp brings us Jay Darby speaking on "Gold, Silver and Coins", I feel richer already.  This would be a wonderful reason to invite a colleague, business acquaintance, neighbor... to join us.  Mark McNeill returns with his golden throat and musical guitar to bring up the standard in singing as song master. John Crooks will entertain us with fun facts while emptying our pockets as fine master.  Jon McBroom and Joe Schmidt will staff the greeters table so be sure to flash them a smile when you arrive.

Remember:

  • Invite someone to attend a Rotary meeting
  • Bring something for the November 4 Fall Auction (proceeds benefit the club activities - so bid high!)
  • Sign up for a shift at Kids Vote - Lorri Helkamp has made this easy with online signup
  • Mark you calendars to attend the November 13 New Member Event at Stonebrook - give names to Deb Erickson for invites!

Have a great weekend - and Light Up Rotary!

Cheers, Kathy Klehr
