W. ADAIR MURALT COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD

Each year the Shakopee Rotary Club honors a deserving person for outstanding service to the local community.

W. Adair Muralt’s reputation in Shakopee:

He [Doc Muralt] lived a life of action and service. Doc initiated the creation of the Shakopee Chamber of Commerce and the chartering of Shakopee Rotary. (At his chiropractic office Doc had two telephones side-by-side – one for his business and one for the Chamber of Commerce.) – Bill Wermerskirchen

Doc Muralt lived his life committed to the Rotary “Avenues of Service” - Club, Vocational, Community, and International. – Bill Wermerskirchen

Doc was a philanthropic soul, and Shakopee was the beneficiary of it. He gave more of his time and talents to Shakopee than anyone else I know. He gave much of his monies away and lived very humbly himself. – Tammy & Gary Laurent

The person who receives this award DOES NOT HAVE TO BE AN ACTIVE OR PAST ROTARIAN. This is a service award to honor someone in the Shakopee Community.
